To recognize the best of the best authentic and beautiful images by photographers who specialize in elopements, and providing a platform and community of support and hype for each other.
Legend Award winners receive bragging rights with a social media press kit, badged award image and a backlink to their website. There are no monetary or non-monetary prizes.

The second round opens on May 1, 2024. Awards rounds happen quarterly. There will be 4 total competitions in 2024.

How we're different
No subscription model, no problem! It’s just $9 to enter 5 images. Unlike other organizations, we pay our judges – who are also elopement photographers. We are openly LGBTQIA BIPOC+ celebrating, and award unposed moments from all elopements.

About the founder
The Elopement Legend Awards was founded by elopement photographer Lucy Schultz in 2023 after she recognized the need for an award competition specifically for elopement photographers. Having an awards cabinet full of wedding photography awards, and having judged several international photography competitions, she felt called to create the same opportunities for the elopement community. Lucy has been a full time professional photographer since 2009. She has been awarded over 200 WPJA awards, 10 Fearless awards, a Reportage award and was named top 10 photographers worldwide in 2021.
