To recognize the best of the best authentic and storytelling images by photographers who specialize in elopements, and providing a platform and community of support and hype for each other.
Legend Award winners receive bragging rights with a social media press kit, badged award image and a backlink to their website. There are no monetary or non-monetary prizes.

You don’t have to win a Legend Award to be part of our community. Join our membership for $70/year for free entry to all 4 rounds, plus an editable profile listing on our site and monthly feature opportunities.
Not ready to become a member? That’s ok. You can still submit 5 images per round for $19usd.
How we're different
We are openly LGBTQIA BIPOC+ celebrating, and award unposed moments from all elopements. You can’t pay more to enter more, making things fair for all photographers. Unlike other organizations, we pay our judges – who are full time elopement photographers.

About the founder
The Elopement Legend Awards was founded by elopement photographer Lucy Schultz in 2023 after she recognized the need for an award competition specifically for elopement photographers. Having an awards cabinet full of wedding photography awards, and having judged several international photography competitions, she felt called to create the same opportunities for the elopement community. Lucy has been a full time professional photographer since 2009. She has been awarded over 200 WPJA awards, 12 Fearless awards, a Reportage award and was named top 10 photographers worldwide in 2021.
